If the subscription was added to your own account, sign in at Services & subscriptions and locate Microsoft 365.

Check your WDKey delivery email first. Microsoft 365 orders may be delivered as a redeemable product key, a subscription linked to your own Microsoft account, or account sign-in details.

STEP 01
Choose the correct activation method
Option B — 25-character product key
If your delivery contains a new key, redeem it once at microsoft365.com/setup and associate it with your Microsoft account.
Option C — Supplied account details
If your order provides sign-in details, use only the portal and instructions in the delivery email. Do not redeem the account as a product key.
Never combine activation methods. Follow the method stated in your order email from start to finish.

STEP 02
Redeem a Microsoft 365 product key

Only if your order includes a new key, go to microsoft365.com/setup.

Sign in with the Microsoft account you want to associate with Office.

Enter the 25-character product key exactly as provided.

Select your country or region and language if requested.
- 5
Confirm the Microsoft 365 plan and subscription period before adding it to your account.

STEP 03
Download and install Microsoft 365 apps

Open Services & subscriptions and sign in.

Find the active Microsoft 365 subscription and select Install apps.

On Windows, run the downloaded installer and approve the system prompt.

On Mac, open the downloaded .pkg file and follow the installer.

Wait for installation to complete, then open Word, Excel or another included app.

STEP 04
Sign in and verify Microsoft 365

Open Word, Excel or another Office application.
- 2
Sign in using the same account associated with the subscription or the account details supplied with your order.

Accept the license agreement if it appears.

On Windows, open File → Account. On Mac, open the application menu and confirm that the expected Microsoft 365 plan is shown.

The included apps are ready to use on this device.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Common Microsoft 365 activation problems
“Unlicensed Product” appears
Confirm that you used the correct account, check that the subscription is active, update the apps and restart the device.
“Product key already used” appears
A redeemed key is normally linked to an account. Sign in to Services & subscriptions instead of redeeming it again.
The wrong account is signed in
Sign out of the Office apps, close them, reopen one app and sign in with the account associated with this subscription.
The device limit has been reached
The allowed number of devices depends on the purchased product. Sign out of an old installation if your license permits it.
